Instant Avatar
Follow these steps to create your AI avatar:
- Choose Your Avatar Style
Select how you want your avatar to appear in videos, whether still or in motion.
- Read or Watch the Instructions Carefully
HeyGen has prepared detailed instructions for creating a world-class avatar. Read them carefully or watch a video tutorial.
- Upload Your Footage
Upload a video with your face in it or record directly with a webcam to get your instant AI avatar. For the most optimal and realistic results, upload a 2-5 minute video recorded with a high-resolution camera or smartphone.
After uploading the video, you’ll get options to remove the video background and receive results in 4K quality.
Note that this is a premium feature available with their Team plan starting at $120/month (quite costly, isn’t it?).

HeyGen will ask you to record a video to prove that it’s really you who’s creating an avatar. This prevents misuse of their platform.
